let Simon has normally study X hrs, then John study 3X hrsThis week Simon studied X+6 hrs, and John studied 3X+6 hrs
number of hours John spends on studying is twice that
Simon i.e. 3X+6 = 2(X+6)
therefore 3X+6=2X+12, X=6, so
A. John studdied = 3x6+6 = 24hrs
B. Simon studied = 6+6 = 12hrs
