Why the standard enthalpy of hydrogenation of cyclohex-1,4-diene isdouble the value of that of cyclohexene while that of cyclohex-1,3-diene is less exothermic than double the value of that of cyclohexene?

standard enthalpy change of hydrogenation:
cyclohex-1,3-diene: -231
cyclohexa-1,4-diene: -240
cyclohexene: -120

I do think -231 and -240 are not so different...

in my opinion, cyclohex-1,3-diene has conjugation, i.e. resonance structure.
thus is more stabilized. the addition of hydrogen is less exothermic.

cyclohexa-1,4-diene has no resonance structure.
