你說我逐字翻譯，翻譯得太過普通我不在乎。
不過，我認為像這類鼓勵語就應該儘可能翻譯得精煉、接近原義、簡短易懂。
卡片上等的鼓勵語向來都是精煉、精簡、簡勁的。
精練、精簡、簡勁的意思就是去掉不必要的、沒有多餘詞句、簡要有力又不啰嗦的。
你認為我翻譯得普通，不過精煉準確啊。辭典就是最好的見證，我無需再做出不必要的解釋了。

翻譯不能直譯是沒錯，因為畢竟兩國語言文化、詞義與用法上都有些差異。
但是在部分語言文化還是有共同點的。
直譯就是沒有篩選精準用詞、沒有調整位置、沒有過濾、沒有支配該語言文化 (指語法等一個語言的特色) 就完完全全一個詞一個詞翻譯了。
“ 批評是進步最大的動力 ” 在中文裡也有其他的說法，翻譯成英文當然也會有不同的版本。
所以，【關鍵】是你對【翻譯的要求】- 精練易懂，對原義可是一針見血的？還是接近原義，不過同時也有說服力的等等？

這個to並不與provide構成動詞成語(phrasal verb), 所以它是介系詞, 而非不定詞的to.
