1. A rectangular piece of ice with size 15cmX12cmx2cm is melted in a cup
with base area of 60cm2. Find the height of water level in the cup after
the ice is completely melted.

Assume that there is no change in volume when the ice melts.
Let h cm be the height of water level.
Volume of water = Volume of ice
60h = 15 x 12 x 2
60h = 360
h = 6
Ans: The height of water level is 6 cm.

Let the height be H
15 X 12 X 12=60 X H
H=15 X 12 X12 / 60 =36CM^3
因為15X12X12=冰既體積=冰既容量=60 X H
