-4x + 16x -24 / x(x-2)(x-6)12x-24/x(x-2)(x-6)
12(x-2)/x(x-2)(x-6)
The (x-2) is in the numerator and denominator so they cancel.
12/x(x-6) or 12/x^2-6x

= (12x - 24)/x(x - 2)(x - 6)
= 12(x - 2)/x(x - 2)(x - 6) (cancel out x - 2)

set your expression equal to a / x + b / [X-2] + c / [ X - 6 ], then multiply both sides by x[x-2][x-6] and evaluate the resulting equation for x = 0 , then 2 , then 6 to find a , b, c
