There are a lots to learn from the play. But the most appealing thing to me is the quality of mercy. Certainly, according to the contract, Shylock can take a pound of flesh on Antonio's body if he fails to meet the contract deals. However, we shall learn to be merciful to others, to be understand of others' hardships, otherwise, we will face hardships ourselves for evil begets evil.
