4)Dick buys 3 books for $18 each and some ballpens for $7 each. If the total cost is $114 , how many ballpens are bought?

1.Let x be the length of the rectangle.2x+(2x-3×2)=42
2x+2x-3×2=42
2x+2x=42-6
4x=36
x=36/4
x=9
The length of the rectangle is 9.
2.Let n be the number.
n+(n-15)=49
n+n-15=49
2n=49+15
n=64/2
n=32
The number is 32.
3.Let N be the number of pages in the books.
1/5N=27
N=27/ 1/5(27除以1/5)
N=5
The number of pages in the books is 5.
