(3x + 9)(2x² + 7x + 9)

1. Multiply 3x by each term in (2x² + 7x + 9) then multiply 9 by each term in (2x² + 7x + 9)

6x^3 + 21x² + 27x + 18x² + 63x + 81

2. Add the like terms together

6x^3 + 39x² + 90x + 81

(3x + 9)(2x^2 + 7x + 9)
= 3x*2x^2 + 9*2x^2 + 3x*7x + 9*7x + 3x*9 + 9*9
= 6x^3 + 18x^2 + 21x^2 + 63x + 27x + 81
= 6x^3 + 39x^2 + 90x + 81
