Phrasal verbs+ing
Phrasal verbs end in a preposition. The 'ing' form of the verb always follows prepositions. For this reason, any verb combined with a phrasal verb takes the 'ing' form of the verb.
Example:
He put off visiting his friends until the following week.
She looked into buying a new home.
verb object base form (infinitive without 'to')
This form is used with a few verbs (let, help and make).
example:
She made her finish her homework.
They let him go to the concert.
He helped him paint the house.
