I'd say the EX-Z100 is a decent compact DC. Very easy to use (intuitive GUI menus), with lots of preprogrammed modes, wide zoom lens, can record short movies. However, in terms of image quality, it faces tough competition from Panasonic and especially Canon.
In addition, the Z100 does NOT feature any image stabilisation mechanism. The Z200 instead features sensor-based IS mechanism, but its body colour choices are limited and completely different from the Z100's. To summarise, the only differences between the Z100 and Z200 are the body colour choices, the IS mechanism, and (of course) the price tag.
The Z100 is in the current Casio DC lineup. It should be made in Japan. However, I cannot advise you on the price, so you are on your own.

Meanwhile, not all Canon DCs are made in Japan. many of the Powershot A-series models, for example, are made in China. Also some lower-tier IXUS models are not made in Japan.
A decent Canon model can out-perform any Casio when it comes to picture quality. However, operation-wise none of the Canon models is as intuitive as a Casio.
A Canon can be just as user-friendly ONLY if you take time to get acquainted with the camera itself, as well as reading the manual whenever necessary. A Casio? It takes you just a few mintues and you're good to go.
I have not tried a Samsung before, so I cannot comment on it. It may have its own feature sets, but personally I have huge reservations on this Korean brand.
