SUMMARY
SIR ANTHONY EVANS PLAYS LISZT. These words stood above the door of the theatre. Hundreds of people were waiting for the pay-desk. It was Anthony's eightieth anniversary concert and everyone wanted a ticket. One of these people was Sally Hill: a journalist for the newspaper ‘The Sunday Times’. Sally wanted an interview with this famous pianist. In Anthony’s room she started with the interview:
Tell something about yourself, do you come of a musical family? Did you learn playing the piano you was three, such as Mozart? Then the pianist laughed, and tells his story:
I was the first musician in my family. I went of school when I was 13. Everyone called me Tony. I lived in a poor family of 6 children, and I was the oldest. We lived in a very small house at the end of a long grey street. The toilet was outside, and we had no bathroom. But we had enough to eat. I didn’t feel poor because all my friends were poor too. All my friends found work in a shop or factory. I didn’t want that, but I needed work because my family needed money. My mother asked I wanted a job on a farm. A couple days later I went with my mother to the farm were my mother worked in former days. From that day I worked on the farm of Mr Wood. He said that I was a good strong boy and I worked very hard for him. I slept in a small room on the attic. He didn’t pay me much, but Mr Wood was nice against me, he considered me as his son. He had 1 daughter, names Linda, she was a year younger than me. In the school holidays he got a job of Mr Wood with Pip and John. Mr Wood wants that we cleaned the building for his new car. We were started with cleaning and saw a piano. I played I beautiful song without knew it was a song. I asked to Mr Wood what we had to do with the piano. He said dispose of, but I don’t want that.

The next day we had mow a massive grass field. Opposite that field stood a school. And of the one / the other time we put the piano in the school, because it was holiday. Every evening I went to the school and played on the piano.

On a evening Mr Gordon came unnoticed in, he was the teacher on this school and he listened to my music. The man asked who I was, what I did in his class room and how the piano came there. I told him, and a day later Mr Gordon came on visit on the farm.

The told Mr and Ms Wood that a was a special boy. He presented that he gives me my first lessons. Every day I went to the lessons, I never missed one. On a day in spring Mr Gordon said there was a music competition in the city.

He put me up to participate. On the day of the competition Ms Wood took me along shops and bought new shoes for me. In the evening I drove with Mr Gordon to the competition. A lot of musician were waiting in the chamber behind the podium.

After a time a man came and called my name, the man took me along the podium to a large new piano. I will sit on the chair and started play. I had won the competition and form that moment I be Sir Anthony Evans

I think the book was nice. The book concerned how a live of a famous pianist went. Very interesting!
