How heavily will the Olympics have an impact on China?

China will show itself as being one of the most thriving countries in the world, and the olympics would function as a window for the world to view China. For once, let the world see the real face of China, instead of trusting what the western media portrays.

Currently, lots of western media are trying to damage China's image to the world, by falsifying and distorting the facts, such as cnn, abc. Politicians also play a part in it, as to oppose China's thriving development, which they deem as "threat" to their countries, whereas China has been progressing steadily and peacefully for a few decades, the economy boom and the technology advancement reflects the success of communism, although China is practically at a state of socialism in this stage.

I believe the Beijing Olympics would be a success, and it will build a tighter bond between China and the rest of the world.
