If I were you, I would say sorry to him.
This is because we always use "would" to express something that are out of supposition. That is, I am not you, so "supposing I were you". This is the meaning of supposition.

雖然If I were you 個'If'係用係將來式,但係喺呢句句子入面係仲有個過去式既were,如果if同were係同一句句子到,就會係用past tense,因為if同will都係將來式,好容易令人混淆呢句係要用將來式既,不過if如果係用係past tense入面,都唔會有任何既影響,句句子仍然係past tense。
would係will既past tense,so其實成句句子係寫I would say sorry to him.

呢個係假設情景情況下, ...were..., would... 結構的用法. 考慮重點唔係 Tense 果到, 而係"有無可能發生"

我有無可能變做你呢？請看下句例子:

If you said sorry to him, he would stay / would have stayed.

前者表示一個提議, 提議既事未發生, 結果都未但係將會有機會發生, 但係就用 Would; 後者表示, 你真係無講到對唔住, 佢真係就走, 假設既事雖然未發生, 但係亦將唔會發生了.

請看以下例子:

If you say sorry to him, he will stay.

點解提呢句呢, 因為, 呢句就指出左, 如果假設既前因後果甚至情景都未發生, 就算呢個只係一個提議, 一個假設, 你都唔一定要用 Would, 有心唔怕遲嘛~

關於假設句, 可以參考字典裡面, BE 既用法. 但係至於Will/Would其實重可以用於表達不同言氣添, 多加研習啊~

句子的意思是，如果我是你，我會向他道歉。

I will say sorry to him

句子的意思是，如果我是你，我將會向他道歉。

所以係...

If I were you , I would say sorry to him

句子的意思是，如果我是你，我會向他道歉。

If I were you ,I would say sorry to him


這個才對。

句子的意思是，如果我是你，我會向他道歉。

但是我是不可能會變成你的，所以應該用would。

我諗應該係I will say sorry to him.因為If係張來式,而will都係張來式。
