We (doctor) do not recommend you to walk in MRI centre to take MR, as nobody will help to explain the MRI to you and you also need examination and interpretation. The standard price should be around 4000. But you better see a doctor before ordering and MRI(? necessary or not)!

If you have some friends in China, they can tell you an MRI scan of the knee/ hip/ spine take less than $1000! Again, you got the films, but no interpretation!
