You get money from Advertisements. It works this way: If some people come to your web site, click some advertisement, then you get money from the advertiser. So there are two key things here: content (your web site) and ads.

* You should make your web site easy to find:
--- You can advertise your own web site: by making flyers, call your friends, post messages on newsgroups, mailing list, .....
--- List it on listing services such as yellowpage.
--- Put high-quality contents on the Web site, therefore search engine like google may rank it high, so that your web site is easier to be found when people search on google
--- advertise yourself through google ads or similar services.
--- again, make your web site high-quality so that people like it, therefore they will recommend it to others, put your URL on bookmarks such as Del.icio.us.

* You should make your web site easy to believe, so that people tend to the click the ads on it:

--- Once again, make it high-quality
--- Make it looking good.
--- Make it indexed by google and other services. People tend to believe google.

* Use Ads services like the one provided by Google. You get to display google ads on your web page, and whenever a visitor click that ads, the advertiser pays you (and google) some money. Learn more about this by Googling.

Synthasite is no good. You need your own domain, with a name that describes your subject matter.

You need to research your topic very well, generate a list of keywords that are likely to be found by the search engines, and write unique and genuinely useful content about each keyword.

Once you have done this and have about 30 or so pages written, then you can start considering adverts. Google Adsense, Chitika, Kontera, and dozens of other companies can generate advertising revenue for very little effort.

I use SiteSell as my hosting provider because they provide all the tools needed to succeed (and they're not expensive!).

You need original content to keep people interested. and then try getting an google adsense account. that is one way. getting traffic to your site is another subject.

The easiest way is to signup for a free blog (ie. Blogger or WordPress) and signup for an account with Commission Junction. Then, publish banners and links on your blog. If you want to be more active in making money, then each week write an entry about a product and include your banner or affiliate link in the entry. When people click on the link and buy something, you get paid the commission.

I perfer weebly more because of the fact that it gives a graph number thing to show you how many people have visited your site.You can have a domain like: mydomainname.weebly.com or mydomainname.com -- but with this one you have to pay for.They are both like that.It's your decision if you want to pay for the domain name or not.
