It is because these are expensive premium match balls and they are really being used in international matches. If you want the price of these balls to become lower, you may have to wait until a newer version comes out, e.g. the Match Ball for World Cup 2010. Then these balls become obsolete and the price will go down a bit.

Meantime, there is no reasons for Adidas to lower the selling prices of these prevailing Match Balls.
