1. The ratio of the curved surface areas of two similar cones is 9:49. Find the ratio of their
(A) base radii (B) heights (C) volumes (D) base circumferences

A1 : A2 = 9 : 49

L1 : L2 = (9:49)^0.5 [to the power of 0.5 = root]
L1 : L2 = 3 : 7

(A) base radii (B) heights (D) base circumferences

A,B,D belong to the same group >>> length

(L1/L2)^3=(V1/V2)
(27/343) = V1/V2

2. a) Rationalize the denominator of 2 /√2

2 /√2 * √2/√2 = √2/2

b) Simplify 2/ √2 - √2 /2
2/ √2 = √2/2
√2/2 - √2 /2 = 0
