Solutions:Let x be the number of dogs, then the number of hens is (28-x)
The total no. of dogs' feet and hens' feet is 4x and 2(28-x) respectively
4x+2(28-x)=68
4x+56-2x=68
2x+56=68
2x=12
x=6
Therefore there are 6 dogs
Number of hens:
28-6
=22
