When adding (or subtracting) fractions you need to find a common denominator. I can't tell what fractions you are trying to add above .. however, if you are adding 13/8 to 11/18 a common denominator would be 72.
13/8 + 11/18 =
13/8 -----> 13/8 x 9/9 = 117/72 13/8 = 117/72
11/18 -----> 11/18 x 4/4 = 44/72 11/18 = 44/72
117/72 + 44/72 = 161/72 (which would have to be reduced)
The fractions that you list above ... 13/8 does not = 11/18,
24/8 = 3 ... 1/13 is not equal to any of the listed fractions.
Hopefully the hint about finding a common denominator will answer your question - if not post again.
GOOD LUCK !!
You have to find the least common denominator. what number will 8, 18, 8, and 13 all go into? Then you take the original denominator of each number and divide it into the new denominator and multiply that number by the numerator. then you take each fraction by the new numerator and keep the common denominator
