What are the hottest online communities nowadays?

There are tones of online communities, I wish to know the top 10 online communities that are most popular among surfers nowadays. It would also help if fellow Answer-ers could suggest 10 new and interesting online communities. Please don' t give me Facebook, IM, Mini Forum etc, we all know them very well. We need something new. Thanks a lot.

I'm not sure if you still count "facebook application" as a new thing. If no, sorry that I'm not aware of any new thing that are "top 10 hottest". Below are some interesting sites which are not in your "don't give me" list, many of them may not be "new" unfortunately.
