開支票金額英文點寫

你的寫法是絕對正確，但另一種寫法是：three thousand five hundred eighty five and cents eighty two，至於為何如此，現引【征服英語】一篇，以說明之：

的 Dollars ， 依 照 一 般 金 額 寫 法 ， 置 貨 幣 單 位 於 數 字 之 後 ， 逕 書 One hundred dollars and twenty cents 。 至 於 Dollars one hundred and twenty cents ， 前 後 寫 法 不 統 一 ， 其 實 不 大 恰 當 。



Round up 和 wind up 有 什 麼 分 別 ？
Round up 可 以 解 作 「 使 聚 集 」 或 「 圍 捕 」 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） On Saturday mornings, Channel I rounds up the news of the week （ 星 期 六 上 午 ， 第 一 頻 道 會 綜 合 報 道 一 週 新 聞 ） 。 （ 2 ） The People's Liberation Army rounded up the people, and proceeded to mow them down （ 人 民 解 放 軍 把 人 民 包 圍 ， 大 肆 殺 戮 ） 。
Round up 的 另 一 個 常 見 意 思 ， 是 把 數 字 上 調 至 較 完 整 的 數 額 ； 把 數 字 下 調 則 叫 round down ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） The sum is $137.5, but let's round it up to $138 （ 金 額 是 一 百 三 十 七 元 五 角 ， 就 算 一 百 三 十 八 元 吧 ） 。 （ 2 ） He agreed to round down the price from $109 to $100 （ 他 答 應 把 價 錢 由 一 百 零 九 元 下 調 至 一 百 元 正 ） 。
Wind up 則 常 指 把 事 物 結 束 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） He wound up his speech with a quotation from the Bible （ 他 引 用 《 聖 經 》 的 話 結 束 演 講 ） 。 （ 2 ） I decided to wind up the business （ 我 決 定 把 生 意 結 束 ） 。

你嗰句的字眼有三個錯處 :
1. 如果支票已印有 Dollars 字眼, 就不用畫蛇添足啦
2. 一般嗰個 Cents 係放在 and 之後
3. 如果選擇字母用細寫, 每一組字的頭一個字母一定要用大寫, 除非每個字母完全用大寫

專業寫法有以下選擇 :
1. Three Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Five and Cents Eighty Two Only.
2. THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE AND CENTS EIGHTY TWO ONLY

如果張支票或其他文件格式沒有印清楚單位, 最安全的寫法是 :
Say Hong Kong Dollars Three Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Five and Cents Eighty Two Only.

當然, 唔同貨幣, 就要寫清楚啦, 例如, U.S. Dollars / United States Dollars
