Place the prime factors in a column, and any common factors in the same column. 3 and 5 are already in their prime factors (as they're prime), but 4 = 2 x 2.

3
. . 5
. . . . 2 x 2

So the LCM is

3 x 5 x 2 x 2
60

3 = 3
4 = 2 x 2
5 = 5
-----------------
The LCM of 3 , 4 , 5 is:
2 x 2 x 3 x 5
= 60
