I wanna buy a new violin for my daughter who is learning violin (grade 3) and attending string orchestra at school.

I want to hear comment for this brand (Hofner):

I also want to know the quality of the violins sold by this company(Hong Kong Strings). They sell their own brand(Batoni) which is imported from overseas and set up in HK. Have you ever bought anything from this store :

Hello,
Hong Kong Strings is a fine dealer that has catered to the professional market. I don't know about their own brand of violins, but it is probably an effort to bring quality instruments to the student market.

It is very difficult to make a good choice for a string instrument based on the brand. The best thing would be to have the student's teacher help with the selection of the violin.

These days, there are a lot of wonderful new instruments being made in China, and shops often brand these instruments. Many good deals are to be had. Good luck in your search, and happy fiddling.
