Volume of a cylinder = area of base times height
=(pi *r^2)*h
=(pi*7^2)*9
=(pi*49)*9
=1385 ft^3 (rounded to nearest cubic foot)

V = π x 7² x 9 ft³
V = (22/7) x 7² x 9 ft³
V = 22 x 7 x 9 ft³
V = 1386 ft³

π(14/2)^2 x 9
= (22/7)(7^2)(9)
= (22/7)(49)(9)
= (1078/7)(9)
= (154)(9)
= 1386 cubic feet

Cylinder Volume = base Area * height

= 2 * 3.14 (Pi) * ((d/2)^2 ) *9
=2769 cubic foot
2008-07-28 5:03 pm
volume of a cylinder = area * height
radius = 14 / 2
= 7
area = 3.1416 {pi} * 7 ^2
= 153.9384
volume = 153.9384 * 9
= 1385.4456
rounding off 1385 cu. ft.

Here's the formula:

Volume of a cylinder is.... pie 3.14 x 1/2 (7) (9).

In lamen's terms it's 3.14 times 1 / 2 the diameter times the height. That is 1386 cu. ft.

=(pi)r^2h
r=radius=14/2=7
pi=3.14
=(pi) 7^2 x 9
=(pi) 49 x 9
=481(pi)

D = 14 ft
ie Radius r = D/2 = 7 ft
H = 9 ft
use V = pi r^2 H
answer is 1386 cubic ft

JUST REMEMBER THE FORMULA
