to excess = 過度 = to an extreme degree

can anyone use "to excess" to make a sentence no fewer than 12 words?

because i don't know how to use "to excess" to develop a long sentence, but i understand ----> he drinks to excess.

to excess

excess = noun
to excess = phrase

Examples:-
1) He spent all his time alone in the flat, cleaning and tidying it to excess.

2) Don't do exercise to excess. Otherwise, excessive amount of exercise is harmful to your health.

3) Have you heard about the news of teenagers playing computer games to excess? Some cases even caused death.

Excess (noun) = 超越,超過, 過量,過剩. (adj) = 過量的;額外的.
So you can't write or say "to excess", instead, you should use "in excess" 例:
It is dangerous to save gas tin in excess quantity as it might cause accidents.
