Use Pemdas (parenthesis, exponents, multipy/divide, addition, subtract)

Start with the most inner parenthesis which are

(8-3) and (7-9) = (5) and (-2)

then it simplifies to..

[3(5)-7)]-[8-(-2)] remember when you subtract from a negative it becomes postive or plus.. so...

[3(5)-7)]-[8+2]

Then next is exponents, but there are none so multiply. The only multiplication is 3x5 = 15 ... so...

[15-7]-[10]..... then do subtraction...

15-7 = 8... so...

8-10= -2 that is your answer! (use your calculator to check your answer)
