drain off 同 drain away有咩分別呀?請教

DRAIN (something) AWAY （消除）, phrasal verb
Definition: If energy, colour, excitement, etc. drains away, it disappears completely, and if something drains it away, it completely removes it.
(特別指感覺，感受）
Example:
Stretching out her tired limbs, she felt the tensions of the day DRAIN AWAY.

DRAIN (remove liquid) OFF , （排去），verb prep.
Definition: If you drain something, you remove the liquid from it, usually by pouring it away or allowing it to flow away, and if something drains, liquid flows away or out of it
（這個特別指物品(e.g. water, liquid)的排去）
Example:
DRAIN (OFF) any liquid that is left in the rice.
(<--- 將餘下的洗米水排去）

P.S. 用 "drain off" 的意思，其實可以把 "off" 除去
