Damages caused by a typhoon:

1. Strong winds create big waves, which can flood the buidings near the
coast. Those winds can also topple weak things over. For example, a rubbish
bin.

2. Heavy raining causes landslides, if those hills have less trees. Sometimes,
although a hill has many trees, rocks may still roll down the hill and hit the
people living around it.

Over the sea, a typhoon can cause the level to rise by several metres.
This rise in water causes massive waves to hit the shores near the storm.

Overland, the typhoon do a lot of damage, with powerful winds blasting the landscape.

Heavy rains from the typhoon's clouds also cause flooding.
