committed 的意思係解決定

如果你決定的動作含示的只是一次的話, 你應該用 committed to verb.

E.g. I am committed to spend tomorrow with you.
我決定明天與您一齊渡過.

如果你 committed to 的動作含示這個動作個會繼續進行的, 你便應該用 commited to verb + ing.

E.g. I am committed to spend the rest of my life with you.
我決定一生與您一齊渡過.

其中有句係:
The company committed most of its profits to building new factories.
本來to後面既動詞係不變既,
但係呢度既to係做緊preposition(前置詞),
所以後面個動詞要加ing...
