An atomic emission spectrum is a spectrum that only shows when an elemental atom is heated, what frequencies of EM waves are released by the atom. Through this spectrum the characteristics of the element can be observed.
An atomic hydrogen = a hydrogen atom. Do not be cunfused by the words.
Hydrogen = an element, a gas in room temperature, 1 proton 1 electron atom ............
I am not sure what a convergence limit is. From what I know it is a continuum of increasing frequency. Convergence limit corresponds to the energy that required for an electron to promote from its origin place to higher level. It means that the energy that needed to excite an electron is corresponding to the convergence limit.
