It is 1 because 2^x/2^y=2^(x-y)
2^2/2^0=2^(2-0)= 2^2
So, 2^0 is got to be 1.

zero squared is 0

however, 2 to the power of 0 is 1

It is zero. But 0! is 1. And so is 2º.

i think u are wrong, 0^2 = 0*0 =0

For the example you have given, the # "to the power of" another number that is in base 2.

0/2 = 0, So, for 2^0 =1.
Any # to its zero-th power is 1.
1/2 = 1/2, so for 2^1/2 = sq rt 2.
2/2 = 1, So, for 2^1 =2
4/2 = 2, So, for 2^2 =4
6/2 = 3, So, for 2^3 = 8

It is 0

0 x 0 = 0

Anything x 0 = 0

But 1^0 = 1

0^2
= 0

∴ 0^2 ≠ 1
