At around ten past six on Thursday afternoon, an old lady was thought to commit suicide at Kwai Fong MTR station. She jumped onto the track from the platform when a train was arriving at the station, and was hit by the train and got run over. She died at the scene. Firemen arrived and removed her body from the track. Because this accident happened during the peak hours, it affected a few thousand passengers using MTR service along the Tsuen Wan line for at least twenty-five minutes.
