Hi,

For this question, we need to distribute the 3 and 2 over the given respective factors in the present equation to get:

6 + 3x - 15 = 2x - 6

Now, simplify both sides of the equation to get:

-9 + 3x = 2x - 6

Now, subtract 2x from both sides of the equation to get:

-9 + x = -6

Finally, add 5 to both sides and get:

x = 3 <==== FINAL ANSWER

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

6 + 3x - 15 = 2x - 6
x = 15 - 6 - 6
x = 3

6 + 3(x - 5) = 2(x - 3)
6 + 3*x - 3*5 = 2*x - 2*3
6 + 3x - 15 = 2x - 6
3x - 2x = -6 - 6 + 15
x = 15 - 12
x = 3

distributive property

6 + 3x - 15 = 2x - 6

6 - 15 + 3x = 2x - 6

-9 + 3x = 2x - 6

subtract 2x from both sides

-9 + x = -6

add 9 to both sides

x = 3

6+3x-15=2x-6

3x-9=2x-6
3x-2x-9+9=2x-2x-6+9
x=3

Simplify:

6 + 3x - 15 = 2x - 6

-9 + 3x = 2x -6

-9 + x = -6

x =3

The answer, and thus x, is 3.
