Why metals are sonorous?
is it related to the properties of ductile and malleable?

Glass and porcelain are sonorous, too. But they are not either ductile nor malleable. They are sonorous because of their hardness. Sound energy is not absorbed by material deformation so it can be reflected continuously for many many times results sonority.
