Macbook V.S. Sony

I am trying to get a new laptop, but still considering between Macbook and Sony.

I will upgrade them, and the prices will be shown as follow:

My 1st Choice:

Macbook 2.4GHz
4GB memory ( I am not sure if I should get 4 GB or 2 GB, but I will install parallels if I have Macbook. Please give me suggestions about 2GB or 4GB is better for parallels, or no differences.)
250GB Hard Drive
1 year warranty ( I have never use mac, please tell me if Macbooks are durable comparing to other laptops)

3 year warranty ( I guess I need a 3 year warranty for Sony laptops because I heard they are not durable at all.)
