So it bothers you that Aldi is not US-American? Hm...heard abou IKEA? It's Swedish, and it's huge in European countries, so much for no other country allowing foreign ownership! H&M, which is also huge in European countries, is I think, Swedish. For that matter, Burger King, McDonalds, Starbucks, Subways, American Apparel are all US companies who are big here in Europe. Aldi is German, that's true, but what about Kraft Foods? The amount of products they have out on the international markets is insane! Check out the products Johnson&Johnson has out, or Procter and Gamble. Look at the individual producers, and you will find that there are big US companies producing under hundreds of different names, basically supplying everything from tires over candy bars to shaving cream and cereal, and no matter where you buy it (Krogers, Mayers or Aldi) and what the wrapper looks like, it all comes from the same line, anways.
