1st equation

5x - 3x = 35
2x = 35
x = 17.5

2nd equation

y = x - y
2y = x
y = x/2

subsitute x = 17.5
y= 17.5/2
= 8.75

2x = 35
x = 35/2

2y = x
y = x/2
y = 35/4

x = 35/2 , y = 35/4

x = 35/2
y = 35/4

y=x-y
y+y=x
2y=x
5x-3x=35
substituting the value of x=2y
5X2y-3X2y=35
10y-6y=35
4y=35
y=35/4
y=8.75
substituting the value of y = 8.75
2y=x
2X8.75=x
17.5=x
hence
x=17.5
y=8.75

5x-3x=35
2x=35
-----------
2 =17.5

y=x-y
+y +y

2y=x x=17.5
----------
2 y=8.75

5x - 3x = 35
y = x - y

5x - 3x = 35
2x = 35
x = 35/2
x = 17.5

y = x - y
y + y = 17.5
2y = 17.5
y = 17.5/2
y = 8.75

∴ x = 17.5 , y = 8.75

2x=35
x=35/2
y+y=x
2y=35/2
y=35/4

5x-3x=35
so 2x=35
x=35/2

y=x-y
so 2y=x
y=x/2
so y=35/4.
x=35/2, y=35/4.

so 2x = 35
x = 17.5

Look at the second equation y = x - y

add y to both sides and you get 2y = x
2y = 17.5
and y = 17.5/2 = 8.75

5x-3x= 35

2x= 35
x= 35/2
