Notice that both 7m and -35 can be divided by 7:

7m / 7 = m
-35 / 7 = -5

Now, bring out the 7 and you get:

7(m - 5)

7 (m - 5)

7(m-5)

7m - 35
= 7(m - 5)

Since both can be divided by 7, you would do 7(m-5) since 35/7=5 and 7m/7=m

The term 7m-35 has a common factor '7'.
So, by taking 7 out as the common factor, the equation becomes:
7(m - 5).
OR
you can split 7m-35 as (√7√m-√35)(√7√m+√35). I wan the exact question, as the term factor has a lot of meanings.
