3/4(x^2) = 1.5y

This could be a fugly way of writing

0.75x² = 1.5y ...........re-arrange with y at start

1.5y = 0.75x²

y = (0.75/1.5)x²

(0.75/1.5) = 0.5.................(3/4÷3/2)...if you convert 1.5 to fractions

So

y = 0.5x².............or y = 1/2 x²

If your notation meant as

3/4*2 = 1.5y .....then it is too easy

3/4*2 = 6/4 = 1.5.....and

1.5y = 1.5

y = 1.5/1.5 =1

y =1

1.5y = 6/4
y = (3/2)/1.5
y = (3/2)(1/1.5)
y = 3/3
y = 1

3/4x2=1.5y
3/4x2x2/3=y
y=1

I'm guessing you're trying to solve for y?

Y = 1 since .75 (which is 3/4) x 2 = 1.5

1.5/1.5y=y
Y is 1

3/4*2=6/4=1.5y then y=1
