Why do you think people give presents to other people?


For me, I think [there are] only two reasons.

[Some] people use this [quality of Chinese people] to take [delete some] advantages of [from is a wrong preposition] their friends. For example, one would give a cheap gift to their friends in expectation that they would be given an [not a] expensive [gift in return to thank them]. I would consider this kind of people as bad because they give their friends gifts for a purpose. Maybe they think money is more valuable than friendship.
