Division of fractions are the same as multiplication of the reciprocal, so:

5/5 ÷ 1/2

is the same as

5/5 * 2/1

Now that we have in this form, we can do our multiplication:

10/5

And simplify:

2

If you take out a calculator you will get = 2.
Here's why?

5/5 = 1.
1 / (1/2) is the same thing as (1/1) / (1/2)
To divide two fractions, you {cross multiply} by flipping the second fraction (1/2 becomes 2/1) and multiplying them
to get = (1/1) x (2/1), or 1 x 2, which = 2.

when you are dividing fractions you are supposed to multiply the first fraction by the seconds reciprocal

YOU ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO USE THE RECIPROCAL OF THE SECOND ONE AND ALWAYS THE SECOND ONE AND NEVER THE FIRST ONE OR YOU ARE GOING TO GET A WRONG ANSWER

5/5 / 1/2=5/5*2/1
=10/5=2
