x = x^2 -7x +12
x^2 -7x -x +12 = 0

SHOULD read as :-
x / (x - 4) = x - 3
x = (x - 3)(x - 4)
x = x² - 7x + 12
x² - 8x + 12 = 0
(x - 6)(x - 2) = 0
x = 6 , x = 2
x/(x - 4) = x - 3
x = (x - 4)(x - 3)
x = x*x - 4*x - x*3 + 4*3
x = x^2 - 4x - 3x + 12
x^2 - 7x - x + 12 = 0
x^2 - 8x + 12 = 0
x^2 - 2x - 6x + 12 = 0
(x^2 - 2x) - (6x - 12) = 0
x(x - 2) - 6(x - 2) = 0
(x - 2)(x - 6) = 0
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
x - 6 = 0
x = 6

x = (x-3)*(x-4)
x = x^2 - 4x - 3x +12
