I'm talking about a friend of mine who's 57 years old and do not speak English and he wants to do something instead of hanging aroung in the house!

Don't you think it's better to look for a job instead of begging on the street? Try to be supportive guys! He's totally legal here!

If he is legally able to work in the US, maybe he can sign on with a temp agency. They often have labor jobs and I believe some have an interpreter for the people who cannot speak. You will have to call around and ask for him.

Does he understand English? Because maybe someone can accompany him to an interview and then he can take the job based on understanding directions.

It is not going to be easy, but at least he wants to work. That is more than a lot of people want.

I think not speaking is required some jobs. I`ve never meet a guy behind a subway counter who could speak english. But if your gonna move here and work, maybe picking up alittle english would be good.

But if you don;t know english make sure you know spanish!
