This really can't be answered because different medications react different for different people. I myself have never been on Seroxat but I was on Lexapro for Social Anxiety. That was the medication that worked for me but it was after about 3 or 4 different ones I had to try before I found that one.

Seroxat made me manic so I can't take it. It's been shown that seroxat and lustril are the 2 worst types of medications for bipolar and I was on them before my bp dx. Lexapro has been kind to me and has not made me manic.
I'd say start with Lexapro. It's the most selective of the SSRIs and has fewer side effects.

Never heard of Seroxat.... but Lexapro is a good med for many people..
any medication can be good or not good.. it just depends on your body chemistry so that's a hard question to answer...
ussualy the newest drugs can be more helpful as they are often chemically 'cleaner' than the older ones but really it just depends...
