無法明白樓上何解認為唔可以用 was being attacked。係唔係只係唔記得左點用 passive voice？簡單 例子：
The dog could bite me. => I could be bitten (by the dog).
加入 main verb（bite）之前o既係 be o既一個 form（be / is / am / are / being / been），tense 跟 main verb，而 main verb 變 past participle。
何況，呢句只有一個 past participle（attacked），何來 double past participle（was 唔係喎）？
無疑，一句就咁用 past continuous 少見，但配合上文下理亦無不可。如：
A: What were you doing when I was waiting for youhere?
B: I was being attacked by Tom back then! Can't you see the wounds?

兩句都冇錯，答返問題，中譯如下：
I was being attacked by Tom
我當時正被 Tom 襲擊（注意，用 past continuous 時係講發生左o既暫時情況，所以用到「當時正．．．」）

我（曾）被 Tom 襲擊（簡單記述事件，就咁就得啦，可以從句意知道呢件係舊事，亦可以加「曾經」以成強調）

Both sentences are correct!

I was being attacked by Tom.
Was = is/am. being = (past participle) is. Hence, you shouldn't put these 2 (same meaning) words together and made a wrongful double past participles.
So, I was attacked by Tom (this morning). is the correct sentence. (我今天(早上)被Tom襲擊). Note: I added: this morning, just to make a complete sentence.
