我唔明點解樓上有兩位的解答唔可以直接d,
要轉來轉去,轉到唔係好貼個中文意思。

候選編號 001 基本上 all correct.

但 no.3 有關 tense 方面,, 樓主如果想講
算盤(到目前都)是中國最偉大的發明
答案就會係 Abacus is the greatest invention of China.

但當然,, 算盤是中國最偉大的發明 一句中,,
樓主無表示佢個時態/立場
所以 候選編號 001 is still correct.

1.) His act was shocking / His speech was astounding.
act can be noun or verb. if you take it as a noun, there will be two nouns in a sentence, which is incorrect. if you take it as a verb, there will be two verbs also, which is wrong either.
in addition, [was taken] is verb in passive voice but [was be taken] is not exist at all.

2.) i like to eat abalone / i like eating abalone.
after the verb, like, you have to use gerund (verb +ing), or to +verb.

3.) abacus is the greatest intvention in china.
you can say of china because china is a place that can't invent anything. people in china invent things. invention is noun, invent is verb. again, is and invent can't be in your sentence at the same time since they are both verbs.
