There is no standard list, but some of these comes to mind:
1) Euro (cash!)
2) Any other currencies depending on which country you are going to,
you can get from your local bank given enough notice time to them.
Note: I usually just get some cash before going, not a lot, if I need cash,
I just use my ATM card at the destination countries.
3) Money Belt/Pocket, to hide behind your belt, or carry over your neck,
hidden inside your shirt, so you can put your cash/credit card/passport
from theft.
4) Euro Rail Pass, if you have it
5) International driver license, if you plan to drive
6) Credit Card(s)/ATM card
7) A paper with your credit card number, passport number,
lost card phone number etc written down. In case you loose your
wallet. Store this paper seperately (i.e. not in your wallet)
8) Power adaptor and memory card/video tapes
9) Simple emergency medicine
10) Tour books/photocopies of useful pages
11) Print out of any online hotel/ticket reservations
12) Frequent traveler cards, e.g. air milage cards
13) Language phrase book (optional)
14) Rain coat/small umbrella
