Use order convention. Do brackets first, inside those brackets are more brackets which have to be done first...

Work the brackets from the inside out.

2x - {-3y + [3x - 2(3x - y)]}
= 2x - {-3y + [3x - 6x + 2y]}
= 2x - {-3y - 3x + 2y}
= 2x - {-y - 3x}
= 2x + y + 3x
= 5x + y

= 2x - {-3y + [3x - 6x + 2y]}
= 2x - {-3y + 3x - 6x + 2y}

= 5x + y

first multiply -2 by 3x-y
the result will be 2x-{-3y+[3x-6x+2y]}
then multiply1 by 3x-6x+2y
the result will be 2x-{-3y+3x-6x+2y}
then multiply -1 by -3y+3x+6x+2y
the result will be 5x+y

You start from the innermost bracket and you will get the answer. it is 5x+y
