Rather that compound factoring, this site demonstrates yet another way to factor cubic equations - "the graphing method". Just plug the equation into your graphing calculator and notice that the graph crosses the x-axis at x=-1, x=-2 and x=-3. Change the signs and the factorization of y = x^3+6x^2+11x+6 becomes (x+1)(x+2)(x+3), easy!
