what is pk?

In fact, P.K. has taken many different meaning.
P.K. in Football mean Penalty Kick, which is a free kick kicking from 12 yard from the goal. It is a penalty to punish the wrong doing side (for example hand ball). This is very usual term used in Football.
In video game, there is also a term P.K. which means Player Killer/Killing whom only targeting player instead of completing the original mission given, this type of person are usually being strongly penalize by the game master (usually take the short from of GM).
P.K. is also used in Battle/Matches between two person/team and is refering the battle or matches as an action. In video game when 2 player try to challenge each other, it is also called PK. It is very usual to see this in Taiwan, not only in game, in real life it also has the meaning of battle or taking matches and even to compare two object.
However, in Hong Kong, P.K. in Cantonese has the sound of [Puk Kai] which has been reconized as a very rude word (Some has also reconized it as swearword), which has the meaning to go to die.
And according to wikiepedia, in Singapore P.K. has a meaning of Company went into liquadation and has to be closed. PK also take the terms of Psychokinesis, Pharmacokinetics, Russian Guns Name , Aeroplane serial of Pakistan, etc.

而且無特定主要的解釋,
所以一般好多人都會任意使用.

PK不是一個國際及中港兩地認可用語,
所以一定要靠日常對此字既了解,

1. 用於日常的PK:

pk 一向被廣大市認定為不雅用語,
原因是它與一個廣東話濁語相近:
仆街 (仆,pok, P字音 ; 街,kai, K字音)
所以因為不想閙人閙到像個地盤佬,
一般有讀過少少書既人都會用PK代替仆街.
例如: PK仔, 你去PK啦


2. 用於挑釁的PK:

pk一詞,於網絡世界都頗為普遍,
但不一定是在閙人.
pk一詞,其實亦有解作戰鬥的意思.
而且大部分時間都是指一對一的戰鬥.
例如:
「你夠薑就落嚟同我pk!」
( 你有種就下來跟我打 )
所以,有時pk會當作 [隻揪] 之意.

p.s.: PK原是由網絡遊戲開始,
原意是PlayerKilling, 即打敗其他玩家的挑釁語.
但後來被帶到現實中,當作 [隻揪] 之用.


3. 用於足球的PK:

玩過Winning Eleven或Fifa等足球game,
或踢足球的都會知道,
PK challage是踼十二碼之意.
即是在十二碼點中所射的定位球.

早期 也就online game還沒盛行時

PK 應該是泛指 Penalty Kick 的意思

也就足球場上的12碼罰球

"Penalty" 犯規處罰的意思

後來 在正規時間內分不出勝負

而必須利用點球來決勝負時 點球也被稱為"Penalty"了

事實上 大家應該都有共識 Pk 所指的用意是什麼

而且 在使用上也沒什麼代溝

例如:來pk啦 你也知道他是找你單挑的意思

所以 應該就沒有多少人會真正去關心

"PK" 這兩個字到底是怎麼來的



PS.所謂的ＰＫ大戰



根據國際足協規定，在足球決賽（淘汰賽）的賽制中，兩方球隊歷經上下半場各四十五分鐘的賽事後，若雙方仍是平手的狀況，則再延長上下半場各十五分鐘，這三十分鐘稱之為驟死賽（Golden Goal），先進球的一方獲勝。



若是在驟死賽中，兩隊仍無人進球，延長賽時間終了，則進入第二階段的ＰＫ大戰（Penalty Kick）。



ＰＫ戰中，兩隊各選出五名隊員，輪流踢十二碼罰球，哪一方的進球數多，就是最後贏家。



在美國俚語中，黑人常以ＰＫ兩字來戲稱「性交」，就像我國青少年常以「全壘打」三字，來代表情侶相處已到達做愛的程度一般

其實ＰＫ可以係一ｄ０ｎｌｉｎｅ　ｇａｍｅ黎講，
例：
打架ｇａｍｅ
都係ｐｋ既意思，
所以人人都會話，
「同我ｐ啦」

但係有時唔識打　中文既人有時輸左就會話：
ｐｋ！

但係唔知乜野事就變左做粗口，
有可能ｐｋ｛有人唔明ｄ個意思｝
ｐｋ｛有可能係人人都講慣左既英文｝
